Accommodation
Accommodation is for the own account of each competitor and is not included in the entry fees of either the Tanzacat Bay Regatta or the Zanzibar Raid. There are many hotels in Dar es Salaam and you can find them on the net.
Below we list a few that are near the Dar es Salaam Yacht Club (DYC) where Tanzacat is centered and near Msasani Bay where we shall be racing in the Bay Regatta.
There will also be some accommodation available at the homes of DYC members and Tanzacat local sailors. If you would prefer this then please contact us and we shall see what we can arrange. Also a camping area will be available at DYC for free for those who let us know in good time. Please bring your own tents and gear as we can only provide the ground space. Food and washing facilities will be available in the usual way to competitors.

Participants at Tanzacat are welcome to come and camp at DYC for the duration of the event. A grassy flat area has been set aside for campers between the swimming pool and car park. Authentic Tanzania are helping DYC organise camping and can provide tents, stretcher beds, mattresses, pillows, linen etc and kerosene lanterns for lighting. The dome tents easily fit 3 adults (or 4 kids) with mattresses on the floor. Authentic Tanzania will set everything up for you and will return to dismantle as well.

For campers, facilities at the club include:
- Showers and toilets a 2 min walk from the camping area along a lit path
- Laundry facilities at the club are limited to hand washing; however the club can provide staff to assist you with this for a small fee.
